One overall verdict hides too much. Twelve domains make every claim specific — and checkable.
A single "safe" or "effective" label cannot capture how a product handles a child’s data, shapes their attention, or affects what they actually learn. The framework evaluates each dimension separately, so families and districts can see exactly where a product is strong and where it falls short — instead of averaging it all into one word.
A plain-language definition of what is measured, the evidence a product must show to make a claim, and how the bar shifts across the four age bands. The working groups are drafting those definitions and evidence requirements now, and they will be published for input before certification opens.
If a domain cannot be measured honestly for a given age, the framework will say so rather than pretend otherwise.
